Electric
chain hoists come in many different types and are referred to in many different
ways. Most have a single hook with 1 or 2 falls of chain on them. Occasionally
we supply hoists with 2 load hooks to help lift long or wide loads, such
as in the car industry or paper mills.
When
ordering or inquiring it will help to know the following: The height
of lift required, the capacity. If you do not have all these details an
engineer can visit your site and take all the required details.
Many
of our customers have electric chain hoists that are used in environments
that need extra consideration. They may include: Hot, cold, wet or steamy
atmospheres. IP65 and IP66 can be used to prevent water and dust from damaging
chain hoists. Where dust or gases may be present Zone 1, Zone 2 and Zone
22 hoists are available all to ATEX 100a specifications.
